Canelo Alvarez faced off against Caleb Plant on November 6th for a middleweight clash of two great fighters with Canelo coming out on top and becoming not only the first unified super middleweight ever but the first ever Mexican fighter to be unified.
The fight was a huge event and especially for the fans who were treated to an amazing and entertaining fight up until the 11th round where Canelo put together a fast and powerful combination that sent Plant to the mat.
“To become the first Mexican unified champion means a lot to me,” said Alvarez.
